The U.S. Department of Commerce is conducting an annual administrative review for Chinese shipments of uncovered innerspring units to the U.S. market.
As part of this review, the government is allowing interested parties to submit names of Chinese manufacturers they believe should be reviewed for shipments made between Feb. 1, 2019, and Jan. 31, 2020. The review determines if factories keep their duty rates for this period or warrant an increase or decrease in their respective rates.
The duties aim to address alleged unfair pricing tactics of Chinese producers. They are assigned to the factories but paid by importers of record.
The DOC said interested parties have until the last day of February to request a review. Companies may withdraw their review requests within 90 days of the Feb. 3 publication date of the review notice in the Federal Register. For more information on how to submit a review, click here.
