Classic Brands adds pillow line to support Urban Loft brand

Enhancing its Urban Loft mattress collection, specialty bedding producer Classic Brands is adding a line of hybrid and memory foam pillows that can be shipped with any of its Urban Loft boxed beds.

The six-pillow lineup adds to Classic’s roster of pillow offerings and features the same MDI memory foam found in Urban Loft mattresses. Carrying retail prices of $49.99 to $79.99, the lineup includes three hybrid models that combine a solid memory foam core with fiber and shredded memory foam, while the others have cores of solid memory foam and solid gel memory foam, officials said

“These pillows are a great way for our dealers to boost the average sales ticket, and since they have many of the same components as our Urban Loft mattresses, it’s an easy transition for the retail sales associate,” said Mark Owen, executive vice president of sales and business development at Classic Brands. “And they can be shipped in a box with the mattress, which greatly simplifies the logistics.”

The pillows are anti-microbial, which inhibits the growth of bacteria and dust mites, and the cool-to-the-touch knit cover works in tandem with the memory foam to keep the sleeper’s head and shoulders cool, the company said.

The MDI memory foam used in Urban Loft’s mattresses and pillows is a special formulation that the company says will retain its softness in all types of weather and recovers faster than other types of memory foam.
